About Chevron Beads:

Chevron beads were invented in the late 1400s by Maria Valover of Murano Island, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques have their roots in ancient methods, the Chevron technique is uniquely Venetian. Chevron beads can have up to 10 layers, with blue being the most common color.
