A much-loved design from the 1970s, the Clothkits Jerkin is making a cosy comeback for women and children alike. First appearing in the winter of 1971/72, it quickly became a firm favourite, staying in our range for over a decade. This particular version, Clothkit No. 295, was originally released in the winter of 1976/77 and features bold design influences inspired by the Orient.

Warm, comfortable and easy to sew, this layer-friendly jerkin is printed on 100% cotton and lined with soft faux teddy fur. It’s a snug and stylish make that's as fun to wear as it is to stitch. The women's jerkin includes bust darts for shaping and two length options - opt for a contemporary hip-length cut or go longer for extra warmth and authenticity!

IMPORTANT SIZING NOTE: This is the original 1970s pattern and the sizing runs significantly smaller than modern UK sizes.

The largest size included is labelled UK 18, but has a finished bust measurement of 108cm. This is NOT equivalent to today’s UK 18. Please double-check your measurements before ordering.

A coordinating children’s jerkin (ages 3–6) is also available, complete with pockets, in green or purple.

Premium Cotton Teddy - Our more luxurious teddy lining, with a plush, natural feel and enhanced softness. Made from 90% cotton and 10% polyester, it's the premium choice for an extra cosy finish.
