Do I need gap filler or seam tape where the pieces meet?

This depends on your fitment and how tightly the kit aligns with the body. Test-fit the panels first. If gaps exist, flexible gap filler or self-adhesive seam tape will seal the transitions and prevent water intrusion.

What prep work is needed before painting?
