From the studio: "While researching metallurgy and ritual, I came across an image of a Permian bronze cast of the "Bat-Woman" from Western Siberia. These casts, primarily used in sacred rites, reflect ancient beliefs about the universe and ancestral worship. I’m drawn to ancient depictions of “mixed natures” and the stories they tell, so I thought of using this bat-woman figure as inspiration—a tribute to our past rituals and deep connections with nature." - Carla from PO-EM
