Vintage late 30’s / early 40’s gorgeous day dress in Royal blue and White gingham. Flocked Cotton Lawn, drapes beautifully.
Such a lot going on with this beauty. Small but perfectly formed collar. 10 x small button detailing ( not opening ) of which to either side a smocked top panel which forms gathers over bust line.Short sleeves,  pockets to skirt front and collar are all edged in white contrast. Side metal zip opening. 6 panel A line skirt.

Being cotton lawn, this dress is sheer and would be worn with a full slip underneath. 
No labels on this but very well made. A good size. 
A gorgeous beauty, perfect in hot weather as so cool to wear. A great colour to pair accessories for a classical ensemble of the era. 
A treat for oneself or a loved one.

Very Good Vintage Condition - flaws to note : belt loop suit sadly missing belt. Being picky -  1.5 cm fray to white backing contrast underneath collar. Certainly does not detract from such a beautiful and useful dress. Ready to wear.
