About Warring States Beads:

The term "Warring States Beads" refers to glass beads created during the Warring States period (5th–3rd century BCE), before the unification of China by the Qin dynasty. While the earliest Chinese glass, dating back to the 11th–8th century BCE, was excavated in Luoyang, Henan Province, it wasn't until the Warring States period that glass products began to be widely distributed.

Early Warring States beads were predominantly made from faience, a ceramic material decorated with glass patterns. Later, fully glass beads were also produced. Many of these beads feature designs like the "Seven Star Bead" or "Eye Bead," characterized by dot patterns. Although the glass-making techniques and design elements were influenced by Western Asia, including Roman glass, the materials used in these Chinese beads were distinct, showcasing the advanced glass manufacturing skills of ancient China.
