Will this work with an aftermarket bumper cover?

This bar mounts to factory hardpoints underneath. Aftermarket covers that use the same mounting structure will work fine — just verify your bumper cover attaches at the OEM mounting locations before ordering.

Do I need to remove the bumper to install this?

Yes. You'll need to take off the front bumper assembly to access the mounting points. It's a bolt-in install once the bumper is out of the way.

Can I paint this before installation?

You can, but it's easier to do it after. Mask off the mounting points and bolt it on first, then sand and paint as needed. That way you won't compromise any fitment during the painting process.
