(from a .24 ha parcel of 35+ year old vines in both terres rouges and terres blanches). A distinctly earthy nose features notes of red and dark currant, rose petal, violet and pretty spice whiffs. There is again excellent detail to the intense broad-shouldered flavors that are shaped by dense but fine-grained tannins on the hugely long, balanced and firmly austere finale. This too is built-to-age and a wine that will likely need 20 years to see its full apogee.
