A distinguished and exceptionally scarce early German Father Christmas wall plaque, dating from the interwar period (c.1920–1935). Crafted in pressed composition with hand-finished detailing, it displays all the hallmarks of fine seasonal craftsmanship: the beautifully modelled beard, the richly textured coat, and the evergreen tree carried over his shoulder. The surface bears a wonderfully authentic patina, developed over nearly a century.

This example is accompanied by oral provenance indicating that it once formed part of the Bletchley Museum collection. While undocumented, this history is included exactly as received and adds a pleasing narrative interest to an already evocative piece.
