Originally produced for many years as a ROCOCO exclusive line of JAPAN BLUE JEANS, it relaunches in 2026 under the name “Blue refabric.” Production centers around partner factories of JAPAN BLUE JEANS. The name combines “Blue” — representing Japanese denim — with “Refabric,” a coined word blending Republic and Fabric. Inspired by the idea of a “Blue Republic,” the brand honors Japan’s textile heritage while creating garments that bring out the individuality of the wearer.

Lightweight yet durable 100% cotton ripstop
The fabric uses 100% cotton ripstop, woven in a grid structure that resists tearing and delivers the durability associated with military wear.

Lightweight and breathable, it ensures comfort even during extended wear. The fabric’s natural firmness helps maintain a clean silhouette, offering a refined look despite its casual character.

The depth of color created through sulfur dyeing is another key feature. By allowing the dye to sit primarily on the surface rather than penetrating to the core, the fabric gradually fades with wear, developing a natural patina over time.
